I am pleased to be exhibiting this piece Doing Time - a timeline for coping with a prison sentence by marking off or counting down the days. It was created for my MA Textiles course, but was not exhibited then because of the pandemic. Restrictions on freedom touched us all during lockdown, but confinement of any sort – social, physical or mental – may involve similar ways of dealing with it.

MAKING MATTERS
Delighted to be joining the Making Matters team for the second PopUp of 2022 in Farnham.
WEAVING STORIES - Stanley Spencer’s textiles: a newly launched virtual exhibition, curated by a group of volunteers from the Stanley Spencer Gallery. Includes observations and descriptions of the textiles in a range of Spencer's pictures and explorations of underlying narratives. Stanley Spencer’s artistic treatment of fabrics and materials, and the creative processes that define Spencer’s unique approach to texture, form and symbolism are considered.

........ a body of work completed during the pandemic, when spending more time at home presented an opportunity to take stock, reflect on the way we work, the work we make and the work we admire.
......... for details of the book which accompanied the exhibition in July in Letchworth, see Marking Our Way
