This series was created for an exhibition with Work in Progress Textile Group at Art Van Go, Hertfordshire, UK, in July 2018.

The theme came out of discussions about how to escape the pressure to ‘get through our lists’, to satisfy a brief as well as the pleasure of making box forms.

 

The 3-dimensional box is a good starting point and I explored some 2D interpretations of the basic box shape and considered boxes in different contexts.
